About the Instructor
Denisse
Romero has 10 years of experience teaching foreign languages to students
of all ages. Having been born in Ecuador, a small and beautiful country
in South America, she developed an interest in foreign languages at an early
age. During her elementary and secondary education, she studied English,
German and French, while at the same time obtaining awards for Spanish writing,
grammar and spelling in her native country. In 1997, Denisse moved to the
United States to pursue a college degree in International Business. Since
then, Denisse has held a variety of positions in education, marketing, finance,
and communications. For the past four years, Denisse has worked as a Web
Editor at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC and as the founder
of MacQuil.com - a study abroad and
travel portal. Currently, Denisse is pursuing a Master's degree in Education
at Harvard University and conducting research on foreign language acquisition
and learning.
