The American higher education system has many advantages – a flexible curriculum, a variety of courses, transfer choices, study abroad opportunities and more. But for some American and International students, the dream of studying in Europe is just as strong as their desire to obtain an American degree. Some students may wish to learn a foreign language and travel through Europe without compromising their university education. Others may wish to study in Europe, but have not mastered the language requirements to do so at a European university. And yet others may just want to stay home while obtaining an American degree. For many, the solution is to attend an American university in Europe. Here is a list of universities that follow the American higher education system. Most of these universities offer academic degrees and are accredited by US commissions and local country authorities.

Hi
I am Anna and I want to know more about American Universities in Germany and France, may you please tell me where is better. I am Freshmen and I want to be transfer in either Germany or France. What about Schiller International University, is this a good university for Business? Is it expensive studying there.
I hope to get an answer.
Thank You
Hi Anna. Both France and Germany are great countries. Have you ever visited those countries? If you are not sure about which country to choose – and if your college selection process is heavily reliant on the location – you should travel to these places. If that’s not feasible, then I would suggest that you look for events that showcase the particular culture of these countries. Read about their culture, government, laws and education opportunities. Visit your school’s international students office and see if you can connect with French and German students and ask questions, get to know them. This should help with your selection process. If you are interested in Schiller, I encourage you to contact them directly and ask them all these questions. Get information regarding business internship opportunities and statistics on where their graduates get jobs and what kinds of positions they are getting after graduation. Good luck!
Hello to all! I would like to study medicine in Italy, can somebody please help me with this,I’m lost in all those web sites, comments and posts!
Hi Ana. I encourage you to contact the universities on this list directly. Select the ones that are located in Italy and go to their admissions page. Ask to talk to an admissions counselor, get information about their programs and whether there is one that would lead you to a career in Medicine. You could also do some research online – research Italian education and government sites or visit your nearest Italian consulate. Good luck!

My name is Diego Rodriguez-Vila and I am an Admissions Counselor in Saint Louis University – Madrid Campus.
Answering to many of the comments in here:
1.- You don´t have to be an American citizen to study in an American University en Europe, and we will all help you with your student visa process. No preferences about any particular nationality.
2.- Most of us are eligible for any financial aid you get in the US, like FAFSA, for instance. Most of us offer merit based scholarships apart from whatever financial aid you might get yourself.
3.- The Admissions Department of each school will help you solve just about any problems you might have, including housing, cultural issues, visas, etc.
Please, feel free to contact me if you have any questions about studying in Europe. We are here to help!
